Chief Operating Officer (F/M/D)



As Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for controlling and overseeing all business operations, finance, strategy and services. You will let our people feel that their feedback is being implemented by leadership and that we’re doing what’s needed to foster a culture full of empathy, happiness and motivation building the hottest Web3 marketing consultancy in Europe.

You will spearhead our company backbone and run our internal show implementing strategies on a global footprint in a quickly developing market with like-minded people.

  • Operations: efficient planning & management of internal and external resources collaborating closely with Department- & Team-Leads enabling operative excellence through all levels, lead & manage budgeting
  • Finance: lead our Finance Department to leverage our resources most effectively while liaising with external partners such as banks, factoring partners etc., lead creation of business plans, derive insights and build robust reporting + forecasting structures, you own our P&L
  • Customer Success: Ensuring category-leading project delivery standards while optimizing customer experience and implementation of company-wide scalable processes & systems for efficient execution of projects
  • Controlling: Development & Management of state of the art modern Controlling system, building reliable forecasting processes, benchmarking and optimizing KPIs
  • Strategy: Support development of company strategy collaborating with Management Team, investment planning business plans, development and of KPIs & Forecasts
  • Growth & Key Accounts: Oversee Growth together with Heads and support strategic development of key accounts supporting Pitches,
  • Provide leadership and coaching to executives, managers and the wider team, across the full range of People-related topics fostering people development initiatives
  • Acting as a Sparring Partner for the Management Team
  • You support the profitable and sustainable growth of Moonbase through implementation of customer-centric, scalable process and structures
  • Shaping the unique culture of MOONBASE, driving daily engagement to align the company on Slack and other tools during remote times


  • You are familiar with the start-up world and have already supported companies in their growth from 25 to 100+ people, entrepreneurial thinking + acting
  • This senior level role requires someone who’s experienced in managing large retainers
  • you have an positive work attitude and composure also in times of high growth efforts, you an outstanding communicator showing maturity and presence
  • You are Digital-First and have an easy time displaying your leadership in person as well as through virtual communication tools
  • You lead by example, acting as a role model to display (some of) our values
  • Agile mindset when it comes to feedback, continuous improvement, and learning
  • Your mentality is hands-on and entrepreneurial; you know how to roll up your sleeves to deliver alongside your team
  • You possess outstanding analytical and organization skills. You look at data and can use it to roll out initiatives improving overall business performance of a company
  • You have experience building robust reporting structures and dashboards from scratch
  • Accounting knowledge, P&L ownership
  • Fluent in German and English (both necessary)
